The verdict
Hello Alpha offers prescription skincare and weight management through an online care service. The useful connection is access to a provider who can review your history across concerns. A shared account does not establish that a skin formula and a GLP-1 medicine treat the same problem, share evidence or arrive in one paid bundle.
We checked the public pages and terms on October 15, 2026, without joining, ordering a prescription or testing the service. This record assesses the disclosed arrangement and its open questions. It does not score treatment outcomes, formula performance, clinician response times or insurance approval.
- Public pages distinguish membership fees from prescription skincare costs.
- Online visits and ongoing messaging offer a documented route for follow-up questions.
- The skincare page identifies its custom medicines as compounded.
- The skincare pricing cards and multi-month footnote do not describe the same purchase.
- A public plan page cannot establish your medicine coverage, prescription or response time.
- Ending membership does not itself stop automatic prescription refills.

- The skincare menu names ingredients such as tretinoin and azelaic acid, but a menu is not your dispensing label. Obtain the selected ingredients, strengths, quantity and pharmacy details. A GLP-1 prescription is a separate medicine, not an ingredient in this cream.

Start with two clinical questions
The skincare page offers custom preparations for concerns including acne, visible aging, uneven pigmentation and rosacea. The weight-care page describes a separate program involving GLP-1 medicines and nutrition support. Those are provider service descriptions, not evidence that weight treatment corrects a skin complaint or that a topical formula treats weight change. Ask who will review both medication lists and whether separate visits are needed.
Read the membership beside the pharmacy bill
The current membership page lists Alpha Plus+ at $79 per month with four online visits; it also shows a $29 tier with two visits. The weight-care page directs readers to Plus+. Do not assume the lower tier includes the same weight-care services merely because the comparison contains a weight-loss row. Confirm your selected tier, how visits are counted and the treatment scope in your state.
Hello Alpha says it does not accept insurance for membership or medical fees, while some pharmacies may accept insurance for prescribed medication. A membership quote therefore cannot settle the medication bill. Ask separately about skincare, the selected weight medicine, laboratory work and any pharmacy or insurer requirements. Free delivery, if offered, does not mean free medication.
The skincare offer contains a price discrepancy
At our check, the main pricing cards showed $39.99 for one month, $69.99 for two months and $99 for three months. A footnote instead described a three-month-plus-one-free purchase for $119.99 paid in advance. Both presentations say something different about the transaction. We have not selected one as the definitive current multi-month price or repeated the advertised savings as verified arithmetic.
The page expressly separates prescription skincare costs from membership. Request the actual quantity, supply period, total charged now and renewal amount in one written quote. The $33 headline is not a complete monthly cost for simultaneous skincare and GLP-1 care.
Compounding status belongs to the preparation
Hello Alpha calls its skin formulas compounded and includes a nonapproval disclosure. Its weight-care page says it uses FDA-approved medicines rather than compounded weight medicines. Keep those statements attached to their respective offers. They do not make the skincare preparation FDA-approved, nor do they establish that every listed weight medicine has the same indication.
FDA explains that compounded drugs do not undergo its premarket review for safety, effectiveness and quality. An ingredient name or study cannot substitute for evidence about the exact finished preparation. This service review leaves ingredient efficacy, individual prescribing and any combination of medicines to the appropriate product evidence and clinician.
Messaging, follow-up and cancellation are different tasks
The service describes online visits without scheduled appointments and ongoing messaging. Being able to send a message at any time does not establish a response deadline, urgent-care capability or a completed clinical review. Before joining, ask how skin changes, medication concerns, labs and needs for an in-person assessment are handled.
The terms describe automatic 30-day renewal and require cancellation at least five days before the next charge. They describe payments already made as nonrefundable. Use the account cancellation process, retain the confirmation and check the effective date. The same terms say membership cancellation does not cancel automatic prescription refills; those require separate contact with the care team.
Our assessment
Hello Alpha merits a conditional place in the service register because its public materials make a combined care-access question possible to examine. The unresolved purchase details matter more here than a product score: which plan covers each concern, which clinician follows the plan, what each pharmacy supplies and which recurring charges will stop when requested. We did not verify patient outcomes, response times, pharmacy fulfillment or an individual insurance decision.
Add access, medicine and usable supply to the same comparison.
Keep messaging, clinical review and automatic dispensing separate.
Read approval status at the preparation level.
Who this is for
- Readers comparing access arrangements for skin concerns and weight management.
- People willing to confirm their exact plan, selected prescription and full bill before paying.
- You require a guaranteed prescription, guaranteed coverage or a bundled medicine price.
- You need immediate assessment; a message channel is not emergency care.
An information link to the provider. Paying for membership does not guarantee a prescription or insurance coverage.
This is an editorial assessment of published information about aprescription product. It is not a diagnosis, not a prescription and not a substitute for your own prescriber. Hydroquinone and tretinoin are drugs. Decisions about them belong with a clinician who has seen your skin.
