Ivermectin
Ivermectin
The strongest single-agent evidence base in this register: two trials, 1,371 subjects, and 519 people followed for about a year.
The marker is the strength the trials were actually run at. The bar is the span this register has recorded, approved and compounded together. Anything below the marker is a dose nobody has tested; anything above it is an assumption about a dose–response curve nobody has drawn.
The shaded band is the depth this molecule is understood to reach. Anything below it is out of scope, whatever the label says.
Mechanism
Reduces Demodex density and moderates the inflammatory response to it, with independent anti-inflammatory activity on the innate immune pathways implicated in rosacea.
HOUSE NOTES
- Adverse reactions were reported in 1% or fewer of subjects treated for at least three months — the lowest reaction profile in this register, on skin that is intolerant by definition.
- The safety cohort runs to 519 subjects at approximately one year. Every compounded rosacea product here is sold as an indefinite subscription with no long-term data at all.
- It treats papules and pustules. Nothing in it addresses persistent erythema or telangiectasia.
- Found compounded at 0.88% — 88% of the strength that produced these results, with nothing published about what the other 12% was worth.
Layering
- Eyes and mucous membranes
