The generalist. Barrier, tone, oil and pore visibility all move a little. Nothing moves a lot.
We compound toward the middle of the published range, not the top of it. Past the point where the dose–response curve flattens, the extra percent buys irritation and nothing else.
The shaded band is the depth this molecule is understood to reach. Anything below it is out of scope, whatever the label says.
Mechanism
NAD+ precursor. Upregulates ceramide and free fatty acid synthesis in the stratum corneum, blocks melanosome transfer to keratinocytes, damps sebaceous output.
HOUSE NOTES
- 10% is a marketing number. Above ~5% the curve flattens and the flushing reports start.
- The ascorbic acid incompatibility is a laboratory artefact requiring heat. At skin temperature it does not occur.
